End of Another Season

It's the end of a season of a different kind around here.  My Thing 1 finished her first cross country season yesterday.  She ran her best time of the season and was 4th place in the Junior High League race.  I am so proud of her.  She medaled in 5 of 6 meets placing, 3rd twice, 9th, 2nd and now 4th. She has really seemed to blossom as the season progressed.  She liked it so much she wants to run track in the spring.  I am so pleased she found something she enjoys and is so good for her.  I am really going to miss the meets!  She is now a teenager as I told you in my last post.  Today is the big day.  We took her on a mini shopping spree last weekend and she got some new clothes.  There is no picking anything out for her anymore.  Tonight after she gets home we'll have a little family celebration, just the four of us.  We have a little surprise bowling party for her tomorrow with other family.  Thing 2 has her first volleyball game tomorrow as well, so we'll have a busy Saturday!  I hope you all have a great weekend!

Happy birthday to your lovely daughter! I always feel so sentimental on C's birthday. It's such a bittersweet thing to watch our littles turn into bigs, isn't it? Have a great weekend! Tricia

Congrats to T1 on her excellent first year of cross country. I could never do that. Ever! Here's hoping she has a super birthday with all who love her. :)
